Resource Center

One of our goals is to help connect our patients with a multitude of resources that are available to them. One of the ways that we want to accomplish this is by highlighting a list of essential organizations that our patients can contact.

Developmental Delay Resources: www.devdelay.org
Wellness Works Therapy is a proud member of Developmental Delay Resources (DDR). DDR is an international nonprofit organization and is dedicated to meeting the needs of children with developmental delays in sensory, motor, language, social, and emotional areas.

Infant Development Association: www.idaofcal.org
Wellness Works Therapy is a proud member of the Infant Development Association of California (IDA).  IDA is a multidisciplinary organization of parents and professionals committed to ensuring optimal developmental outcomes for infants with special needs and their families.

State of California Department of Developmental Services: www.dds.ca.gov
The California Department of Developmental Services is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. These disabilities include mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions.

American Speech-Language Hearing Association: www.asha.org
The ASHA website is a great resource for families that are interested in researching typical speech and language development, feeding and swallowing issues, as well as delays in speech development. In addition, this website provides a comprehensive list of Certified Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Therapy Clinics such as ours.

American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc.: www.aota.org
The AOTA website gives consumers tips and resources for living life to its fullest. It is also a great resource to develop a better understanding on how Occupational Therapists can help you improve the function and activity of daily living. In addition, they have a comprehensive list of organizations that are focused on all different disabilities and health issues including Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism etc.

American Physical Therapy Association: www.apta.org
The APTA website allows you to research how a Physical Therapist can improve your range of motion. In addition, they cover current events and are the national organization for Physical Therapy. The website has a list of all APTA Physical Therapists by zip code.
